In order to meet a specific need, Pégase Carburant has designed and approved this large bulk tank. To keep an optimal fuel quality while limiting the risks related to the transport of hydrocarbons intended for aviation (paraffin), this IBC is entirely made of stainless steel 304.
With a capacity of 1000L it has undergone all the tests to validate its compliance with ADR chapter 6.1
- Airtightness at 20 kpa
- Watertightness 2.0 bar
- Drop 1.20 m filled with water
In order to observe the resistance of this tank, we let you watch this slow motion video of the IBC falling from a height of 120 cm, filled with 1000L of water
Thanks to the packaging type approval certificate obtained, the tank is approved for gas oil, Jet A1 paraffin and jet fuel F35, according to the codes UN1202, UN1863 and UN1223, class 3 and packaging group III.
Approval according to ADR
It can thus be used for the transport of dangerous liquids by road, in application of the exemption thresholds of §188.8.131.52 of the ADR.
It must be checked periodically every 2.5 years (and every 5 years for the pressure test).
